Italiano达赖喇嘛将出席“友谊之桥”汉藏学生交流会议并发表演讲
由中国青年基金会和若干所美国高校合办的“友谊之桥”汉藏学生交流会议将于2010年5月23日在美国纽约亨特学院召开（曼哈顿68街）。与会发言的专家包括国内高校的著名藏学专家，体制内官员，还有数个领域（新闻、司法、经济、宪政、体改、网络、民间爱国运动等）耳熟能详的领军人物和权威专家会从专业视角，在国家统一和领土完整的前提下，就西藏的发展、建设和未来发表演讲。达赖喇嘛亦将到会讲话，与学生们面对面交流并回答问题。

本次活动是今年3月活动的延续，当时大约40名藏族学生和50名汉族留学生在纽约喜来登酒店举行了一次非常成功的小型交流会议。学生们就各自独特的文化和发展轨迹以及汉藏两族的历史与未来与到会的六位学者们进行了深入的沟通和交流。“友谊之桥”系列活动以“相互理解、促进友谊”为主题，得到中国及汉藏两族各界支持。汉藏学生和青年朋友可通过网络进一步了解详情，填写申请表格报名参加会议。

The Dalai Lama to Address a Conference Organized by Chinese and Tibetan students
The Bridge Conference for Chinese and Tibetan Youth will take place in Hunter College on May 23rd, 2010, sponsored by Chinese Youth Foundation and Hunter College. Confirmed speakers from China include famous Tibetologists and several pundits/leaders in their respective fields – journalism, legislature, economics, institutional reforms, Internet activism, constitutional democracy, patriotic movement; they will speak on the issue of Tibet from their professional perspectives. The Dalai Lama of Tibet will be the keynote speaker, and will interact with the students and answer their questions.
The Bridge Conference is accepting applications from Chinese and Tibetan youths, and the application process ends on May 17th, 2010. Please register online by visiting our website. (http://bridgetheyouth.org/Reg.asp)
This event is a continuation of Bridge Conference’s March activity, in which over forty Tibetan students and fifty Chinese students gathered together in Sheraton Hotel and had a successful conference. The students shared their opinions with each other, led by six prominent scholars. The Bridge Conference is dedicated to promoting friendship and mutual understanding for Chinese and Tibetan students, and receives support from Chinese and Tibetan communities.
