通常于4月在哥伦比亚大学新闻学院揭晓的美国普利策新闻奖于5月4日公布。普利策奖代表着全球新闻界最高荣誉，今年最大的赢家是《纽约时报》，在总共21个奖项中摘得3冠。路透社则凭着一组记录香港反送中运动的照片，赢得了突发新闻摄影奖。
