穆罕默德·肯迪在采访中直言：“他们说麦加的渗渗泉是地球上最神圣、最纯净的水，而地狱之井的水是最邪恶的，但我们在深坑底部看到的只是纯净的淡水，我们甚至喝了一整瓶，什么事也没发生！”穆罕默德·肯迪和他的队员在深坑底部一共待了6个小时左右，并测得空气无毒且氧气含量正常。

穆罕默德补充道：“洞的底部有很多蛇，因为那里没有天敌，这很正常。我们还看到了许多‘洞穴珍珠’，它们是千年形成的碳酸钙沉积物，并在缓慢水流的冲刷搬运下变得平滑且滚圆化，直到它们形成珍珠一样美丽的模样。”
