为反制中共的大外宣对美国的信息战和间谍战，最近美国司法部要求中国新华社和环球电视网在美分支依据《外国代理人登记法》进行登记。最近几个月一直推动这项工作的公民力量对美国司法部的这一举动表示欢迎。鉴于众多的在美中共官方媒体—-不仅仅是新华社和环球电视网两家—没有在美司法部进行外国代理人登记，公民力量发起人楊建利博士于9月25日给美国司法部长塞森斯写信，提供了另外10家没有按照《外国代理人登记法》的要求在司法部登记的中共媒体，敦促其进一步行动。同时，公民力量发起了检举在美中共官媒的活动。公民力量吁请各界人士：直接向美国司法部或者通过公民力量向美国司法部检举
- 中共政府直接出资或部分出资经办的、尚未按照《外国代理人登记法》的要求在美国司法部登记的在美媒体（证据或线索）；
- 注册文件显示非中共政府出资或部分出资但事实上是被其控制或为其服务的在美媒体（证据或线索）。

Dear Mr. Attorney General:
I applaud your decision to order Xinhua News Agency and China Global Television Network, the two major Chinese state media firms, to register as foreign agents. This is a timely and urgent move much needed to counter the Chinese Communist regime’s aggressive foreign propaganda strategy aiming to gain political influence and win Americans’ hearts and minds.
However, there are still hundreds of other Chinese state media outlets that serve as the backbone of the Chinese regime’s propaganda apparatus operating in this country. They have failed to comply with the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) to register their firms as Chinese government agents and disclose information of acting on behalf of the Chinese government. I therefore urge you to require them to do so.
