加拿大著名老牌影星唐纳德·萨瑟兰（DonaldSutherland）周四（20日）因长期病患在美国迈阿密逝世，享年88岁。
演艺事业横跨七十载的唐纳德·萨瑟兰获奖无数，2017年更获颁影坛最高荣誉“奥斯卡终身成就奖”。为人熟悉作品包括《普通人》（OrdinaryPeople）、《十二金刚》（The Dirty Dozen）、《叛逆性骚扰》（Disclosure）、《永无止境》（WithoutLimits）以至较近期的《饥饿游戏》（The Hunger Games）系列等。
唐纳德·萨瑟兰出生于纽宾士域省圣约翰市（SaintJohn），14岁即担任电台新闻记者，其后毕业于多伦多大学（University ofToronto），主修工程及戏剧。他有过三段婚姻，共五名子女，其中的基弗·萨瑟兰（KieferSutherland）也是著名影星，曾凭主演电视连续剧《24反恐任务》（24）夺得艾美奖及金球奖，其父也曾于该两个颁奖礼夺得最佳男配角奖。
