《武漢》： 21家英文出版社退稿的書終於出版了
《武漢》和《看不見的戰爭》的英文版終於出爐了——幾天前，我收到了Polity全球營銷總監Madeline Sharaga的來信，告知「出版日期」——英國：2024年5月，美國： 2024年6月——相關詳盡資訊已分享給全球約8,000 名書商、圖書館員和媒體聯絡人。
兩本書有2009年諾貝爾文學獎得主赫塔 穆勒等人的精彩推薦 。可是，在三年前，在武漢病毒幾乎吞噬了全世界，造成數千萬人死亡的時候，《武漢》卻被21家美國出版社退稿——令我想起美國文學歷史上的名著《22條軍規》，也曾經退稿22次；
我會永遠記得德國S Fischer出版社對我的信任，他們在2022年1月26日發表了《武漢》，引起巨大的反響，幾乎所有的德語媒體都發表了報道和評論。瑞士的《新蘇黎世報》在同日發表了Katharina Borchardt的評論文章，文章開頭就提到「卡爾森的屈從」：
「武漢病毒」當然來自武漢，這是「對真相的客觀描述」，廖亦武在他的新書中強調說—考慮到中國不斷有人提出病毒是從國外傳入的瘋狂理論，這不是普通的論證。去年，中國駐漢堡總領事館要求卡爾森出版社撤回並修改其兒童讀物《給安娜和莫里茨的新冠彩虹》（Ein Corona-Regenbogen für Anna und Moritz），因為書中說：「病毒來自中國並從那裡傳播到世界各地。」 因為巨大的經濟利益，卡爾森屈從了。 請參閱附錄 3

"Wuhan": A book that was rejected by 21 English publishing houses was finally published
The English editions of Wuhan and The Invisible War have finally been ——A few days ago, I received a letter from Madeline Sharaga, Global Marketing Director of Polity, informing 「PUBLICATION DATES」——UK: May 2024, US: June 2024——Related detailed information is distributed to approximately 8,000 booksellers, librarians, and media contacts globally.
The two books have excellent recommendations from Herta Müller, winner of the 2009 Nobel Prize for Literature, and others (please see Annex 1) .However, three years ago, when the Wuhan virus almost engulfed the whole world and caused tens of millions of deaths, Wuhan was withdrawn by 21 American publishers - reminding me of the famous book in the history of American literature, 22 Rules of War, which was also withdrawn 22 times ( Please see attached2 );
I will always remember the trust placed in me by the German publisher S Fischer, who published 『Wuhan』 on 26 January 2022, which caused an enormous reaction, with reports and reviews in almost all German-language media. The Swiss newspaper Neue Zürcher Zeitung published on the same day an article by Katharina Borchardt, which began with the words 『Carlsen's Submission』:
The "Wuhan virus" came from Wuhan, This 「is an objective description of real facts」, emphasizes Liao Yiwu in his new book. This is no trivial statement, as wild theories are constantly being put forward in China that the virus was imported from abroad. Occasionally, Beijing's arm even reaches as far as Hamburg, where last year the Chinese Consulate General told Carlsen Verlag to withdraw and revise its children's book 「A Corona Rainbow for Anna and Moritz」 because it stated that the 「virus comes from China and has spread from there all over the world」. Carlsen actually complied. Please seeattached3
