最近幾年很流行的〝愛國但不一定要愛黨〞的觀點，相信很多人都聽說過。〝愛國不愛黨〞被香港樂隊譜曲成歌《我愛郊野，但不愛派對》，這首歌在這次雨傘運動中多次被唱響。

美國Foreign Policy（《外交政策》）網上版，10月9日專文介紹香港雨傘運動中廣為傳唱的歌曲。文中除了提到示威民眾經常唱的《海闊天空》、《問誰未發聲》、 《撐起雨傘》等歌曲外，香港獨立樂隊My Little Airport的《我愛郊野，但不愛派對》也上榜。

《我愛郊野，但不愛派對》是一首英文歌，題目就用雙關，講〝我愛國（郊野 the country）不愛黨（派對the party）〞。這首歌是2009年推出的單曲，歌詞是這樣寫的：

I love the country，But not the party
我愛這個國家，但不愛黨
If you wanna celebrate，Don't even think of calling me。
如果你要慶祝，千萬別叫我去

You know it's not easy，Pretending to be happy
你知道這不容易，還要裝作高興
